KINDLE vs. IBOOKS vs. REAL BOOKS
Those of you who know me will know that I love reading. I read a lot and I read quickly. This is why I have been looking into e-books. With e-books you can store hundreds, if not thousands of books in a single, easy to transport, device.
I haven’t read many e-books, due to the fact that my school doesn’t allow pupils to bring in electronic devices, but I still like the idea of them.
AMAZON KINDLE = Revolution
The Kindle is really what brought e-books mainstream. The Kindle has had several versions.
Unfortunately, I don’t actually have a Kindle, so I can’t say how easy they are to use, etc, but I can say that the Kindle has a HUGE battery charge (one month) due to the e-Ink they use. The e-Ink in the Kindle is very clever because it takes up almost no energy to use, and it works in sunlight, meaning you can read as well outside as you can inside.
APPPLE IBOOKS = Huge
iBooks is an awesome app for iPhones, iPods, and iPads made by Apple Inc this year. The iBookStore has lots of books, some for free and some paid, and this makes it very appealing to Apple fans who want to use eBooks.
iBooks is very easy to use and you can change the font, text size, and screen brightness, so it is very customisable. You books are stored on a nice looking book shelf, which is the home screen of the app.
All in all, iBooks is a sweet option for all owners of iOS devices.
REAL BOOKS = Traditional
There is something nice about holding real printed paper in your hands as you read, likely due to the fact that we have been using them for so long. Real books are probably the most widespread of all these three thing, party due to the fact that they are the originals. Unfortunately these are sometimes quite expensive.
I personally believe that real books will continue for some time but sooner or later the world will turn to e-books. Whether the future will be iBooks, Kindle, or some other e-book reader, I don’t think anyone can tell.
